Working Student Software Development & AI (m/f/d)
About the position
As a Working Student (m/f/d) at q23.medien, you contribute to real B2B projects alongside your studies. You will be closely mentored by experienced developers, take on meaningful tasks from day one, and gain hands-on insight into clean software engineering and the productive use of AI. Our tech stack is modern, type-safe, and cloud-native – we choose the right technology for every project.
Your Tasks
- check_circleSupporting the development of features for our web applications (frontend with React/TypeScript, backend with Node.js) – guided by experienced developers.
- check_circleContributing to AI integrations: connecting LLM APIs, creating and testing prompts, and building smaller automations.
- check_circleWriting, testing, and documenting clean, maintainable code through pair programming and code reviews.
- check_circleIndependently fixing minor bugs and implementing clearly scoped tickets.
- check_circleMaintaining content and configurations via our CMS and backend tools.
- check_circleResearching new technologies and AI tools and presenting your findings to the team.
Your Profile
- verifiedEnrolled student (m/f/d) in computer science, business informatics, a STEM subject, or similar – with at least one year of studies remaining.
- verifiedInitial hands-on programming knowledge, ideally in JavaScript/TypeScript (e.g. from your studies, internships, or personal projects).
- verifiedInterest in AI and LLMs and the motivation to quickly get up to speed with new technologies.
- verifiedA careful, self-reliant working style and enjoyment of working in a team.
- verifiedGood German skills (at least B2) and basic English; availability of 16–20 hrs/week (more during semester breaks is welcome).

Our Application Process
We hate bureaucratic hurdles and endless waiting times. Our recruiting process is transparent, appreciative, and at eye level:
1. First contact (30 min. Teams/Google Meet) – An easygoing conversation about you, your studies, and q23.
2. Hands-on intro (45 min. video call) – We look at real code or a small AI example together (no stress test, no pointless algorithm puzzles!).
3. Meet the team (30 min.) – A virtual coffee with our founder Robert and your future colleagues.
4. Offer & onboarding – We present a fair offer and launch your structured onboarding.
